Alexa and Zach’s love story began right on the campus of Cal Poly. Fate brought them together at the dorms, where their journey of love and companionship began. Alexa works as a pediatric occupational therapist for SLO County, while Zach is on the path to becoming a Physician Assistant. Currently, he’s working at the first CHC (the Delta Health Center) in Mississippi for the next 6 months. Their shared interests include paddle boarding, scuba diving, visiting wineries, golfing, and even enjoying the drive-in theater experience.

The Proposal

The moment was filled with love, laughter, and joy. To make it even more special, they took a day off on Monday to visit all their favorite spots in San Luis Obispo, from fire pits in Pismo to wine tasting at our local gems, and of course their beloved Cal Poly campus.

The father-daughter dance became a truly magical moment, serenaded live by Dave Tate, who delivered a heartfelt cover of “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw. As their wedding planner, I had the honor of contributing special touches, including gorgeous gauze runners and exquisite pillar candles that added a romantic ambiance to their sweetheart table.
